Scout Monitoring for Open Source
Scout Monitoring for Open Source: Free application monitoring up to the Large plan for noncommercial OSS projects
Scout offers qualified open-source projects access up to its Large monitoring plan, including traces, error monitoring, logs, query analysis and alerts. It is a hosted monitoring benefit rather than merely a free self-hosted agent. The program names Ruby, Python, PHP and Elixir support.
How to claim this perk
Follow these steps through Scout Monitoring for Open Source.
Access: Direct application
- 1
Use Apply for Free Access on the provider’s open-source page.
- 2
Provide the public repository, license and a brief project description to Scout.
- 3
After approval, verify the plan limits and install the supported monitoring agent.
Who can apply?
- Project source must be public under an open-source license such as MIT, Apache or GPL.
- The project must not be used as part of a commercial SaaS product. Send a repository link and description to request approval.
- Confirm the approved plan, ingestion/retention limits and any acknowledgement requirement before production use; free access is capped at Large rather than unlimited capacity.
- Community support is offered. Do not assume enterprise SLA or all language integrations are included.
