OpenAI API — ChatGPT subscriber credits: Pro: $100/$200/$500 API credits per month; Business: seat-based pool up to $500/month
Eligible paid ChatGPT Pro and Business subscribers can activate API credits by linking an owned API organization. Pro allowances are $100, $200 or $500 per month, matching the eligible Pro tier; Business grants $20 per paid Standard seat and $100 per paid Premium seat, pooled up to $500 monthly. This is a subscription benefit, not a free standalone signup or public coupon.
How to claim this perk
Follow these steps through OpenAI API — ChatGPT subscriber credits.

For Pro, open ChatGPT Settings → Billing. For Business, use workspace billing or Admin Console as an owner.

Find the API credits benefit, select an owned API organization with the matching email and confirm activation. You can also start from API Platform Billing.

Check the actual prorated balance and expiry in API Platform billing. Use keys from that linked organization for eligible API calls.
Who can apply?
- Active paid Pro or Business subscription at least seven days old. Trials and complimentary subscriptions do not qualify; Plus, Go, Free and Enterprise are not eligible. You must own the subscription/workspace and receiving API organization and use the same email.
- Initial credit is prorated for the current billing cycle. Unused credits expire at the cycle end. Business paid annually upfront receives the annual grant in one issuance, expiring at the annual cycle end, with a $6,000 annual cap.
- Covers supported API Platform usage in the linked organization. Codex through API keys is excluded, and the balance does not raise signed-in ChatGPT/Codex limits. No separate API payment method is needed to use active benefit credits; purchased balance or auto-recharge can fund usage after the grant runs out.
