NVIDIA’s current FAQ grants free Developer Program members access to hosted NIM endpoints for application prototyping. This provides inference without renting your own GPU. It is not free H100 rental or a production-hosting license.
How to claim this perk
Follow these steps through NVIDIA NIM API Prototyping.
Access: Direct application

Join or sign in to the free NVIDIA Developer Program from the API Catalog.

Select a supported model and follow its hosted API-key instructions.

Confirm account/model trial limits before integrating the endpoint into a prototype.
Who can apply?
- Join the free NVIDIA Developer Program and use the API Catalog’s supported models for prototyping.
- Account/model usage limits apply. The official FAQ does not guarantee a universal forty-requests-per-minute allowance or a fixed dollar credit balance.
- Production NIM deployment requires the appropriate NVIDIA AI Enterprise license and infrastructure. Self-hosted GPU costs are separate.
